Yes, food is provided at Ocala Regional Medical Center at the cafeteria and at the resident lounge.
When you are rotating in Tampa, Gainesville, and Texas, housing will be provided.
Your main rotation will be general/trauma surgery at Ocala Health, with day shift hours starting from 6:00am to 5:00pm.
When you are in Ocala, you will take call twice a month, approximately every other weekend.
Yes, we have a duel module da Vinci Robot as well as a sim lab with a da Vinci robot to practice on.
Yes, on Wednesday and Thursday mornings from 6:30am - 8:30am protected time. Wednesdays at 6:30am will begin with M&M Conference and Grand Rounds. Thursday is basic science lecture.
Yes. Ocala Regional Medical Center is one of the 3 main residency teaching hospitals at the University of Central Florida (UCF). The other two are North Florida Regional Medical Center and Osceola Regional Medical Center. As a resident here, you will be staff/employed by UCF.
