Ocala Health is taking proactive measures to help ensure the health and safety of patients, caregivers, colleagues and our communities. Adjusted visitor access and screening are tools that we have implemented to help slow the spread of COVID–19.
One adult visitor per patient is now permitted in the hospital at this time. No visitors are permitted in our ERs. Visitors must be at least 18 years old (special circumstances may allow for some exceptions). To help supplement visitor needs, please consider programs like FaceTime, Skype, etc.
Visitation hours are 6:00am – 8:00pm, Monday – Sunday for inpatient units and 8:00am – 6:00pm for ICU.
Please use the following entrances:
- Main Entrance – for surgical patients, visitors with no symptoms and outpatient testing
- Emergency Room – for medical emergencies
Visitors must wear a mask at all times while in the hospital and will be required to screen negative on a passive screening before entering the building. While at Ocala Health, all are asked to help us maintain social distancing standards and should remain in the patient’s room as much as possible during their entire visit. Any potential visitors who show signs of respiratory illness or have a fever will not be permitted in the hospital, and will be offered to go to the Emergency Room for treatment—which is open 24/7.
We appreciate the cooperation of our visitors, patients, colleagues and providers to support our infection control efforts and help minimize the spread of respiratory infections and COVID–19. We will continue to monitor the situation as it evolves and the CDC updates its guidance and will provide updates as needed.
We exist to provide others a healthier tomorrow. Above all else, we are committed to the care and improvement of human life.
