The Heart & Vascular Center at Ocala Regional Medical Center is Marion County’s premier center for heart and vascular health services, offering the latest technology and most expert care for the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of cardiovascular disease.

Accredited Chest Pain Center (CPC)
Heart attacks are the leading cause of death in the United States, with 600,000 dying annually of heart disease. More than five million Americans visit hospitals each year with chest pain. The goal of the Society of Chest Pain Centers is to significantly reduce the mortality rate of these patients by teaching the public to recognize and react to the early symptoms of a possible heart attack, reduce the time that it takes to receive treatment, and increase the accuracy and effectiveness of treatment.
Ocala Health System recently recieved full Cycle III accreditation. Both Ocala Regional Medical Center (Accredited Chest Pain Center with Percutaneus Coronary Interventions (PCI) and West Marion Community Hospital (Accredited Chest Pain Center) have recieved this distinction.
This accreditation means that Ocala Health System meets or exceeds standards related to heart care.
ER- Rapid Bedside Heart Attack ID
Early identification and treatment can mean the difference in your survival and long term health following a cardiac event. If you think you might be having a heart attack don't wait more than an hour before calling 911. Do not drive yourself or be driven to the hospital. If you don't know the cause of your symptoms, assume it is a heart attack. Play it safe and get medical help. The emergency rooms at Ocala Regional Medical Center and West Marion Community Hospital provide state-of-the-art technology and highly trained staff prepared to rapidly diagnose and treat cardiac emergencies. Both hospitals are using bedside technology in the emergency rooms to obtain measurments of markers that indicate the early heart muscle damage occurring in a heart attack. This technology provides rapid, definitive information that can play a critical role in the early diasnosis and treatment of a heart attack.
The Heart & Vascular Testing Center
The latest technology is available for diagnostic testing. Our skilled, professional staff works closely with your physician to provide a comprehensive approach to an accurate diagnosis and treatment of cardiovascular testing from stress tests through peripheral vascular imaging.
