Lisa Cole, RN, BSN Named Vice President, Trauma Services

photo of Lisa Cole, RN, BSNOcala, FL - Ocala Health, an affiliate of HCA, announces the appointment of Lisa Cole, RN, BSN to vice president, Trauma Services.  In this new role, Ms. Cole is directing the trauma application process for Level II Trauma Center Designation at Ocala Regional Medical Center, and will be overseeing coordination of trauma care, staff education, and registry reporting.

With more than 13 years’ experience in trauma and emergency management, Ms. Cole most recently served as a senior director with Methodist Healthcare, managing trauma and emergency management for one Level III and three Level IV trauma programs in the San Antonio, TX region.  Ms. Cole also has extensive experience in emergency preparedness management and planning.

“Ms. Cole has a high level of expertise in the establishment and on-going coordination of care for high-risk, trauma patients,” said JoAnn Ankoviak, chief nursing officer, Ocala Health.  “She will play an integral role in the launch and on-going operations of trauma services at Ocala Regional Medical Center.”

Ocala Regional Medical Center is one of eight HCA hospitals affiliated with the USF-HCA Trauma Network.  Presently, Ocala Health is awaiting approval on its application with the Division of Emergency Medical Operations, Office of Trauma with the Florida Department of Health.
